What We Do
The Foundation was initially formed in 1997 as the Janssen Ortho Patient Assistance Foundation and was renamed in 2009. Over the past 24 months, the Foundation has assisted more than 300,000 patients and has provided more than 2.0 million units of prescription medicine. Our patient assistance specialists handle more than 300,000 telephone calls per year. The Foundation offers a traditional provider office-based patient assistance program and a hospital outpatient-based patient assistance program. Eligibility criteria is based on the federal poverty guidelines and is adjusted each year. Currently, more than 40 products are available through our programs, and more than 20 medicines are available through a retail pharmacy card. The Foundation does not collect any fees from patients or providers. Patients are eligible for up to 12 months of assistance and can reapply each year as needed.
